About Nicole
Nicole has been studying belly dance since 2003. She began her first formal classes in 2005 in tribal fusion under Kendra Searls. Later she studied American Tribal Style with Cindy Moonbear and later took private tribal fusion classes with Arika Whiteaker. Looking to expand her movement vocabulary she began private classes in the Egyptian style with A'isha Azar. She has taken workshops with Tempest, Zoe Jakes, A'isha Azar, Nefabit, Medea, and Yasmin Edwards. In 2008 she founded Koreshakti Tribal Fusion. The tribal fusion collective has performed at The Knitting Factory, Interplayers Theater, The Kress Gallery, as well as many other notable local arts events around Spokane. This year she was honored to be invited to join Mystik Dream .
In addition to being a bellydancer, she is a painter, animal rights activist, bookworm, yoga fiend, writer, hoop dancer, and aspiring circus performer.
Her goals include completing Mata Kalis' Electric Circus, learning to do a full split, a backflip....finally master the cartwheel-and to continue down this wonderful road in the dance world meeting kind souls and artists along the way.
