About Surina
Surina has been studying belly dance since 2004. She first studied Cabaret style under Nadiyah, later expanding her education to include ATS under Cindy Moonbear, Tribal Fusion with Kendra Searls, and lately Egyptian end folkloric styles under the ever-inspirational A'isha Azar. She has taken workshops with many notables including several members of The Indigo, Sharon Kihara, Bozenka, Sonia, Amar Gamal, Eva Cernik, Tempest, Medea, Geneva Bybee, Audrey LaRue, Carolena Nericcio, Sharon Moore, Troupe Hipnotica, Alexandra King, Shareen el Safy, DaVid of Scandinavia, Talia, and Nefabit.
Sue continues to study and has danced with several groups local to Spokane including Hasna Haddiyah, Spokane Tribal Fusion, and Malidoma!. She is currently a member of Koreshakti Tribal Fusion, Baharat!!!, and Mystik Dream.
She has also studied a variety of other forms of movement including martial arts, kickboxing, women's self defense, tai chi, and yoga.
